Thread tightening testing machine BTT1220
Outline
This machine measures the tightening torque on thread tightening, axial tension, torque on thread part to analyze features of tightening from various aspects.


Specifications

1. Applicable bolt, nut size

Applicable hex. bolts and hex. nuts size on this machine are shown on Table 1.

Tightening length is to be set by the thickness of spacer provided.
Ex.) M10
Min.tightening length is 23mm, the total tightening length would be 33mm by putting a 10mm spacer.

2. Contents of measurement

Table 2. Shows the measurement contents.
Torque strain gauge type converter measures total torque value, threaded portion torque and axial tension of Table 2 and turning rotation are measured by encoder.
The converter for measuring axial tension and that of thread portion torque are based on the common composition of strain generating part.

3. Calibration

Calibration is not possible with the thread tightening tester installed.
Take out the total torque converter, axial tension/screw torque converter from the machine and calibrate by each converter.
As the turning angle and rotation speed for the tightening drive are obtained to count pulse from encoder, calibration of turning angle and rotation speed are not possible.

Outline
The testing machine measures the opening and closing torque of muffler valve and judges OK or NG.
The features are as follows:

1) At set angle (75degree) load torque values are measured four times. The data from 2nd to 4th measured values and the average of the those values are displayed.

2) OK and NG judgment is made based on the average value. If the judgment is OK, the machine is reset for the next operation. If NG is judged, the buzzer sounds while the work is clamped. This clamping action can be deleted by NG reset signal.

3) If the work assembly failure takes place, the alarm lamp will be lit and "Err*" message will appear in the display.

Pinionnut preload tightening machine
Application
This testing machine measures preload torque while rotating the bearing case. DC nutrunner tightens the fix nut for companion flange, when the set preload torque is reached, the tightening machine automatically stops, shows the peak torque and preload torque in the display and judges OK or NG.
As a result of the judgment, if the measured preload torque is lower than the required torque value, the machine automatically tightens the fix nut one more time. Since the fix nut tightening part and preload torque measurement part are separate with each other, the machine directly rotates the bearing case and detects preload torque value. If the manual dial type torque wrench is set on the nut part, the digital and analog values can be obtained at the same time for comparison check.

Final drive preload automatic adjustment machine
Outline
This adjustment machine fixes the companion flange of the medium sized pinion final assembly in the work fixture, tightens the lock nut and at the same time, detects the preload torque. When the set preload torque value or tightening torque value is reached, the machine automatically stops, rotates the work, verifies the change of preload torque and respectively judges OK or NG of the preload torque value and tightening torque value.
During verification mode, if the preload torque value is judged as LO-NG, the machine automatically tightens the lock nut one more time.
